In this period, issues related to the ESG, Environmental Social Governance perspectives are increasingly at the centre of attention and it is reasonable to assume that sensitivity to these perspectives may increase and strengthen in the future. One of the aspects is also represented by issues related to “gender equality” and the role and presence of women. In this sense, an important signal comes from two recent appointments in the ENTD Directive, the National Agency for Digital Transformation.

Raffaella Aghemo and Valentina Parisi have been appointed Senior Member of ENTD, Ente Nazionale per la Trasformazione Digitale (National Board for Digital Transformation), an institutional reality that takes a new and different approach to the technological future, also looking at the values of inclusiveness and ethics. The mission states “The objective is to transfer to citizens, companies, entrepreneurs, educators and all People who have a social responsibility, the culture of change and the spirit of collaboration with ethical and professional foundations and skills integrated and synergistic with each other, in order to accelerate and optimize the interventions aimed at preventing, anticipating and facing the sudden social and economic changes of our country”. The aim is to increase the critical sense and information of active citizenship, so that the system does not exclude anyone, on the contrary, it returns to motivate those who have fallen out of love with participation in the economic and social future of the country.

Leveraging integrated professional skills in synergy with universities, research centres and developers by accepting the challenges of the digital future is an intent also shared by IUSINTECH, of which Aghemo and Parisi are part. An all-female project born at the beginning of 2020 that aims to open legal advice and assistance to new technologies with a multidisciplinary approach. Today, it has already more than doubled its initial team and counts ten professionals with skills that look to the future: from the use of artificial intelligence, to new areas in which to experiment with Blockchain, to Cyber security, Data protection, eCommerce, trademarks and domain names, online dispute resolution, web contracts and much more.
